Originally trained on a traditional kit, Samuel — ‘Sammy’ — spent over 15 years owning his craft before building something that didn't exist yet — a custom percussion rig engineered specifically for dance and pop, designed to be the centre of attention. That innovation became his signature, and a benchmark other percussionists now look to.
The Roving Drum
A floor tom stripped down and strapped on — a wearable instrument played up close among the guests. His trademark, and routinely the moment people remember most.
The Vocals
Classic and contemporary hits rapped live at key moments, so the energy keeps building and guests never quite know what's coming next.
His percussion helped shape The Temper Trap's platinum-certified album Conditions — including the global hit 'Sweet Disposition'.
